Silky voice contemporary high-life crooner Kwabena Kwabena, real name George Kwabena Adu, has advised the youth to use the valentine festivity to express love to close relations and abstain from sex since the purpose of St. Valentine’s day was not about sex.

Kwabena Kwabena who is happily married with four kids, said the best way to celebrate such a day is to be with family and love ones and express love which was been orchestrated by Valentinus through gifts.

“My understanding of Valentine is to show love to close relations and tell them how much more you care and cherished them. If you have a wife, mother, father, friends or children, show them how much more you care about them,” he said.

“…It’s also a good opportunity to show love to the less privilege. Visit the orphanage and donate something to them, just to show love,” he added.

He however said that; “the publicity has made it a bit misinformed. People perceived it has to do with the love between man and a woman but I don’t think that is what Valentine meant.”

The award winning singer on Accra-based OKAY FM happily disclosed his wife as his valentine and urged all married couples to do same.
“…my wife is my valentine and my kids as well,” he said.

Noted for his awesome love songs, Kwabena Kwabena called on all his music lovers to come enjoy his live Valentine performance coming Saturday at ‘SAPATO’ off the Accra- Kasoa road.

Saint Valentine's Day, commonly known as Valentine's Day, or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is observed on February 14 each year. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it remains a working day in most of them.

Ghana for the past years has dedicated the day as ‘National Chocolate Day’ to promote Ghana made chocolates.
