Sunday, July 18, marked the beginning of what is widely publicized to be yet another exciting season of Big Brother Africa reality show. Dubbed Big Brother All Stars, this year’s show, unlike the previous ones, features some of the unforgettable, outspoken and entertaining housemates.
Last Sunday, 14 housemates representing 14 African countries were out-doored into the Big Brother house via a red carpet event in South Africa. Ghana’s preferred candidate for the house, Sammy B, stepped out of a white limousine which dropped off housemates on the red carpet leading to the house.
For some fans, Big Brother made a right a choice by bringing back their preferred candidates. In Ghana, so far, no one has publicly questioned Sammy B’s candidature. All the housemates will be competing 24 hours, 7 days a week for the ultimate prize of 200, 000 US dollar. Dstv viewers will have the opportunity to see the housemates live on channel 198.
Sunday’s event witnessed performances from international music icon Sean Paul. He kicked off the show with his ‘Temperature.’ Later that evening, he visited the housemates, making him the first visitor to the house.
During his short stay in the house, he was taken through the house by some of the housemates, notably Tatiana, who did not give Sean a breathing space.
Having gone through every corner of the house, Sean Paul could not hide his feelings as he openly suggested it is indeed crazy to be in the big brother house.
Speaking at the top his voice, he exclaimed “so 14 housemates, one bath, one toilet, this is crazy”.
When leaving the Big Brother house that evening, he promised the housemates he will be watching them on the screens. |
